James’ lifelong ambition was to reach the peak and capture the view before the sun rose. He was an experienced climber who had overcome many challenges, battled extreme weather conditions and dedicated his life to training. After hours of feeling like no progress was being made, and with only his trusty head torch for company, James finally noticed a change in the sky. The scene was breathtakingly beautiful. The splinters of light pierced through the clouds like knives, and soft snow covered the peaks like icing on a cupcake.
